Who we are

Sena Dake & Associates is an accounting, tax, advisory and legal services firm based at V18, Honeycrisp Street, Otinibi, Accra, Ghana. This policy explains how we handle personal information relating to this website and enquiries made to us.

For privacy questions, contact info@senadakeandassociates.com or call +233 (0) 24 592 9799. Information supplied during a client engagement may also be covered by the engagement terms and any specific privacy notice provided to you.

Information we receive

When you email or call us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, telephone number, organisation and the nature of your enquiry. Providing enquiry information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond or assess your request without the relevant details.

Our website and hosting systems may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, access times and error records to deliver and protect the website.

The Contact page’s enquiry buttons open your email application. A message reaches us only when you send it. Please share only the information needed for an initial enquiry; contact us to agree a suitable method before sending identity documents, financial records or other sensitive material.

How we use information

We use enquiry information to respond, arrange meetings, understand the assistance you need and manage our correspondence. Technical information supports website operation, troubleshooting and security.

The basis for processing depends on the purpose: your consent where required, steps you ask us to take before an engagement, performance of an engagement, applicable legal obligations, or legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and operating a secure website, subject to your rights.

An enquiry is not consent to direct marketing. Any direct marketing requires the appropriate prior consent, which you may withdraw by contacting us.

Cookies and Google Maps

WordPress uses cookies for functions such as authorised sign-in and remembering account preferences. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some functions may then be unavailable.

The Contact page includes an embedded Google map. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which may receive your IP address, browser details and information about your interaction, and may use cookies or similar technologies. This can happen without clicking the map. If you are signed into Google, its handling of information also depends on your account settings.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy ↗ for details and available controls. External links take you to services with their own privacy practices. You can contact us by telephone for directions instead.

Service providers and disclosures

Information may be handled by personnel who need it to respond to you and by providers supporting website hosting, email, communications, security and backups. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary in connection with legal claims or professional obligations.

Some providers may process information outside Ghana. The location and protections depend on the service concerned and applicable requirements. Contact us for further information about providers relevant to your enquiry.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of the status of an enquiry or engagement, applicable record-keeping duties and the need to establish or defend legal claims. Retention therefore varies by record type; you may ask us about the records relating to you.

Personal information requires appropriate organisational and technical safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please notify us promptly if you believe information sent to or received from us has been compromised.

Your privacy rights

Under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may request information about the processing of your personal data, access to it and correction of inaccurate information. You may withdraw consent and object to processing in the circumstances provided by law, including direct marketing. You may also request deletion where applicable; legal or professional retention duties may limit what can be removed.

Email info@senadakeandassociates.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Explain your request and how we can contact you. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records.

You may raise a concern directly with Ghana’s Data Protection Commission ↗. You do not have to contact us first to make a complaint to the Commission.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website, our processing practices or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Please revisit this page when you use our services.
